Glass Enamels have been used for hundreds of years to decorate everything from jewelry to tablewear to sculptures to wall decorations, stained glass, and much more!
By applying powdered glass of various colors to a surface and then applying high heat, the glass is melted and fused to the surface, creating beautiful patterns of rich, vibrant colors!

Come and learn to do this yourself!  We will be learning the specific technique known as "cloisonné."  This technique involves using fine silver wire to create "cells" which will separate the colors of enamel on our workpiece.
The cells are then filled with the powdered glass, then fired in a kiln to melt it.  This process is repeated over and over to build up layers until we achieve the desired effect.  We will then grind our work smooth, give it a final firing, and each person will have a lovely piece of their own to take home!

class fee $50 participants will make a jewelry pendant
