Printmaking Collograph
I've used this printing process many times and have enjoyed sharing it with students of all ages.
Collagraphy is a printmaking technique where materials are glued or adhered to a rigid surface, like cardboard or wood, to create a textured plate. This plate is then inked and used to make impressions on paper or other materials. The resulting print is called a collagraph. Collagraphy is versatile, allowing for both relief and intaglio printing methods, and utilizes a variety of materials like paper, fabric, and natural elements to build up the plate's surface.
