Weaving is a fun way to play with color and texture and use up leftover yarn from other projects. In this beginner-friendly class, students will learn how to make their own tiny tapestry. They will learn how to warp a flat wooden loom, then create their tapestries using a variety of textural weaving techniques. Students will learn how to take the project off the loom and add finishing touches to make it ready to hang on the wall. Yarn of a variety of textures and colors will be available for students’ creations, and at the end of class they will be able to take home their loom and needle to make more tapestries at home. Tiny tapestries make great gifts, or fun and funky wall decorations, and each one is unique.
